Bug's 2nd Dance Recital

Bug did so well during summer dance camp last year that they had her dance up this year. We were given the choice between the kindergarten to 2nd grade ballet/tap class and the 1st & 2nd grade ballet/tap/jazz class. I chose to put her in the K-2 ballet/tap, because it was the closest to her age group. Since she was in a "big kid class", she got to dance in the school age recital and in the big ballet. Her ballet/tap class learned their dances so quickly that the teacher added a "fun" (Pre-jazz) dance. She also took hip hop this year. So, she ended up doing 4 full length dances and 3 finale dances in the recital. I was worried that keeping so many dances straight would be stressful for her, but she had no problem remembering them all. She LOVED it!!

Ready for recital!

Jr Hip Hop: Boom Boom Shake the Room!

Fun Dance: Hip to Be Square

Makenna actually sat very nicely and watched the whole recital, which was almost 2 hours long!

"The Sound of Music" Ballet

Kylee had some anxiety about going on stage with the jr/sr class, but she did a wonderful job!

Kylee was amazing!! She didn't miss a beat! Her entire class did an awesome job! I am so proud of them! I absolutely adore watching Kylee dance on stage. She is ALL smiles up there and is very much in her element! She can be quite timid and anxious at times. So, its so nice to see her so confident and happy.
Bear was happy when the recital was over, because she knows that's when costumes become dress up clothes. She couldn't wait to try on Kylee's hip hop costume!
