Makenna loves balls! Her first word was "ball", and her bouncy rubber ball is her all time favorite thing to play with. So, it just made sense that her first birthday party include a bunch of a balls. We had a backyard full of balls of all colors and sizes. There were balls you could throw, balls you could roll, balls you could bounce on top of, and a ball you could ride inside of. There was a ball pit in Makenna's room and punching ball balloons all around the living room ceiling and chairs. We even had ball shaped snacks including: oranges, grapes, cherries, blueberries, sour balls, sixlets, and skittles. In addition to all the balls and backyard toys, the kids enjoyed bubbles, a bounce house, and dance music. Each kid got take home a couple balls and bag of Makenna's favorite things (sunglasses, necklaces, bubbles, and crayons). Even though it was too windy to put up decorations outside, the party went well. I think its safe to say Makenna had a ball! :)
