One of the tasks on my 30 Before 30 list was to set up an art area and masterpiece wall for the girls. The art table has been up and running for months. This past weekend, I finally got around to adding an art line for their masterpieces. We celebrated the grand opening of their 'art gallery' with new paint brushes and the reading of Fancy Nancy Aspiring Artist.
Here is what the art table looks like first thing in the morning.....
and here is what it looks like by about noon.
Luckily it is easier to clean up than it looks. :) Kylee's favorite supplies are the watercolors and the collage materials (especially the jewels & googly eyes). Makenna's medium of choice is play-doh. We have a whole bucket full of play-doh tools, but her go-to item is always the roller. Markers were another favorite of them both, but due to the girls' growing obsessing with "tattoos", they have been moved to the only on occasion with direct supervision craft cabinet. The girls go through phases with the stampers and dabbers. They will use them daily for a week or so and then will go a week or 2 without opening them. The crayons are rarely touched, even the absence of the markers.
Come make me one?
