So Big!!

Makenna is 9 1/2 months old already, which means she is getting way too close to her first birthday than I am ok with. She is growing up so fast and is doing new tricks everyday. A couple days ago she put her toy phone to her ear and say "hi". She did it again several times later with my cell phone. She also knows how to say "ball" and "dada". She has said "mamma" and "byebye" but won't say those very often. She signs music, milk, and eat and will also sign more and all done with prompts. Overall, she is a pretty good little communicator. Today she decided she needed some hand sanitizer (not because she's ever had any but because She's seen me use it a dozen times). She pointed to the GermX, then looked at me and rubbed her hands together.
One of her newest tricks is learning to walk. She isn't officially out of the crawling stage just yet, but she can take 10 or more steps at a time pretty consistently. One of my favorite things that she does is color. Makenna loves to scribble. I can't remember if that's a "big kid" thing or not, but either way, its awfully cute to watch. Here is a piece of her artwork and a video clip of her walking.

Kylee has done some cool things lately too. The other day a Fresh Beat Band video came on. Kylee observantly said "Marina is a girl. Kikki is a girl. Twist is a boy. Shout is a boy. 2 girls and 2 boys!" She was keeping track on her fingers as she talked it out. I congratulated her on being right and then asked how many Fresh Beats there are all together. She looked down at her fingers and then answered "4!"
