Pink Pirate Princess Play Day

We finally made it back to talking about the letter 'P'. The Friday before last Carrie, Katie, and Gracie came over for a pink pirate princess play date. The girls all got pirate necklaces. They colored treasure maps then made pirate princess hats by sticking pink jewels onto black foam pirate hats. For lunch they had fish sticks, octopus (hot dogs cut in the shape of octopus), sea shells with barnacles (shell shaped pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese), and sea water (blue Gatorade).  After lunch, Kylee and Gracie went outside to dig for buried treasure (pirate coins) in the sandbox. They each got a tin, treasure shaped box to hold their cold coins. Before Gracie went home, Kylee "read" her a couple of pirate books. That evening for dinner the pirates Puccino had seaweed stew (ramen with green food coloring).

We did a few more 'P' activities throughout the week, but didn't make it to all of them. Kylee got a couple new Pinkalicous books, and we made pink punch and pink pudding. We spent most the week watching, reading, and acting out The 3 Litte Pigs. Kylee has become pretty obsessed with it lately. She loves to watch the Silly Symphony version of the story on YouTube.
