Last Friday Joanne and Elena brought Gavin and Gracie over to decorate pumpkins. When one of the pumpkins went missing from the decorating table, we let the kids try to figure out how to get one back. The three of us got lots of laughs while the kiddos got a great lesson in problem solving and team work (and a lot of fun doing so). They also learned a lot about the attributes of pumpkins (They're heavy. They roll. You can kick them like a ball.)
Later that evening Vickie came over to carve a pumpkin with Kylee. Kylee choose a happy face for their pumpkin. She had a blast pulling out the goo.
